Kate is a lawyer in our Workplace Relations and Dispute Resolution teams. She won the Freehills Prize for the top student in Employment Law at Melbourne University for 2009.

Kate’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising in respect of the Work Health and Safety reforms;

  • Adverse action claims and unfair dismissal claims at Fair Work Australia;

  • Sexual harassment and discrimination claims in the Federal Court;

  • Sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying matters;

  • Advising employers and employees in respect of terminations and redundancies;

  • Interpreting and advising on Awards and Enterprise Agreements;

  • Drafting, interpreting, reviewing and enforcing employment contracts;

  • Advising on restraint of trade clauses;

  • Drafting and reviewing workplace policies such as sexual harassment, bullying and victimisation, social networking, workplace social functions, work health and safety and privacy;

  • Advising in respect of employee minimum entitlements, including parental leave;

  • Enforcement of orders; and

  • Debt recovery.
