Sarah is a lawyer in our Commercial & Property Law Team, with more than four years experience. She commenced her career in Queensland before moving to Melbourne and joining Aitken Partners in November 2010.

Her recent experience includes advising on:
  • winding up and bankruptcy proceedings and assistance in respect of insolvency work generally and large debt recovery;
  • intellectual property disputes with respect of ownership;
  • trade practices and building disputes and providing related advice;
  • leasing, licensing and landlord and tenant disputes;
  • disputes in relation to caveats, easements and covenants;
  • litigation focused on the building industry; including preparations of applications, appealing decisions made by the Building and Services Authority, payment claims, advice in relation to recovery and subcontractors charges.
  • general commercial agreements, intellectual property agreements (including copyright, trademarks and design agreements and licensing agreements);
  • joint ventures, partnerships, corporations law, trade practices, franchising and property developments;
  • mortgages;
  • trusts;
  • caveats;
  • provision of advise on business structuring;
  • franchise and partnership agreements;
  • incorporating associations;
  • sanctions for a charitable purpose;
  • conveyancing for residential property;
  • business sales and acquisitions; and
  • employment law, including agreements, drafting terms and advice, unfair dismissal, negotiation, preparation of documents and representation at the Industrial Relations Commission and representing client’s at mediation conferences.
