The Drama in Opera

The problem with almost all Australian Opera companies is funding. Few people truly understand the costs associated with presenting opera. Anything that Opera Australia (or any other company) does to increase revenue and awareness is positive, even if fans like myself don't get to see it.

I would also like Opera accessible and affordable for everyone, but to do that we will need much larger corporate sponsorships (the likes of which can be seen in the USA) or government funding (much greater sums as have been provided to various European opera houses by their governments).
