Aitken Partners promotes internal partner
Melbourne based law firm Aitken Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Anton Dunhill as a partner. Anton is a key member of the firm’s Property Disputes & Compulsory Acquisitions Team and is also the firm’s pro bono coordinator.
Anton started with Aitken Partners as a lawyer in 2005 and has built a substantial practice in dispute resolution particularly focusing on compulsory acquisition and property disputes.
“Becoming a partner is about more than just hitting billing targets, it is about how someone fits with the firm culture and, for us, whether they provide exceptional client service,” Aitken Partners managing partner, Andrew Blogg said in announcing the appointment. “Anton excels in all those areas, which is shown by the work he has been doing for clients in the area of compulsory acquisition – the results he has achieved are outstanding.”
Anton’s work has also included representing bodies such as unChain St Kilda in its various attempts to prevent a development known as the St Kilda Triangle and other land and business owners affected by infrastructure projects. He also represents clients in complex wills and estates disputes as well as guardianship matters and powers of attorney.
“One of the things we have always focussed on at Aitken Partners is the client, and for us that means paying attention to the little things like protecting family heirlooms and getting new school uniforms for clients who are forced to move,” Anton says. “At the same time we fight hard for the critical issues, such as land, property and business values affected by an acquisition.”
Anton represents clients affected by projects such as the Regional Rail Link, Yan Yean Road Duplication, Dandenong Revitalisation Project, E6 Outer Metropolitan Ring Road and the Harcourt Rural Modernisation Project, plus many other projects around Victoria.
