Kathy is an accredited specialist in Wills and Estates.
Kathy has worked almost exclusively in the area of Succession Planning, Wills and Estates for 20 years. She is an advocate of alternative dispute resolution and the application of collaborative law when appropriate.
Having commenced her studies in accounting, Kathy has a solid understanding of the financial issues at play within the matters she deals with.
Kathy has a keen interest in promoting legal education in the community. She has conducted many seminars and workshops for practitioners, para-legal staff and members of the public. Her presentations focus on practical issues arising in wills, estate administration and related litigation, as well as powers of attorney and guardianship issues.
Kathy is a past President of The Institute of Legal Executives and serves on numerous education and advisory committees, including: the Law Institute of Victoria Elder Law Sectionthe Law Institute of Victoria Succession Law Committeethe Supreme and County Court Users Groupsthe RMIT Law Advisory Committeethe Institute of Legal Executives Council and Education Committees.
