Giselle Roman is a Melbourne-based family lawyer who advises individuals across all aspects of family law arising from relationship breakdown, including complex property disputes, financial matters and sensitive parenting proceedings.
Giselle assists clients at all stages of the family law process, from early negotiations and alternative dispute resolution through to contested hearings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. She has experience navigating the Court process and provides clear, strategic guidance to help clients understand their options, manage risk and achieve practical outcomes.
Giselle acts in a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlements and parenting disputes, such as relocation matters, recovery proceedings, and cases involving serious allegations of family violence and risk to children. She also has experience in complex financial and property disputes, including matters involving litigation guardians, setting aside applications, applications commenced out of time, and disputes involving businesses, trusts, bankruptcy, family loans and other intricate financial structures.
Giselle is committed to delivering practical, strategic and client-focused advice. She understands the significant emotional, financial and personal pressures that often accompany family law disputes and adopts a pragmatic approach aimed at resolving matters efficiently and cost-effectively wherever possible.
