Kate Doherty is a Lawyer in the Aitken Partners Property and Commercial Law Team. Kate has a strong background in the commercial construction industry and established a successful small business prior to coming to the law. Her experience as a business owner makes Kate well placed to identify solutions and tailor strategic advice that is both commercial and practical. Kate understands the need to resolve matters at the earliest opportunity, with a focus on minimising legal costs and business disruption.
Kate has negotiated positive outcomes for clients in a range of litigated and non-litigated matters, including disputes arising from building and construction, property, owners corporation and contract law. In addition to her legal practice, Kate is a presenter on the Leo Cussen Centre for Law’s Alumni Civil Litigation Panel, where she shares her knowledge and insights with the next generation of legal professionals.
