Shahn Beasley-Reickenvater is a Senior Associate with experience spanning family law, child protection, criminal law, and commercial litigation. He brings a measured, strategic approach to resolving complex and often high‑stakes disputes, with a focus on achieving practical and effective outcomes for his clients.
Shahn holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne and was admitted to practice at the beginning of 2020. He has developed a diverse practice through his work with Victoria Legal Aid and private law firms, acting for clients across a broad range of contentious matters.
Shahn’s practice is now solely focused on family law. He has a particular interest in complex matters involving family trust structures, parenting disputes involving allegations of unacceptable risk, and international child abduction proceedings under the Hague Convention. He is adept at managing the legal and commercial complexities that arise in these matters, while remaining attentive to personal connections.
He is experienced across all areas of family law and is known for his clear advice, thorough preparation, and effective in court advocacy.
Shahn is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
Outside of his practice, Shahn is a committee member of the University High School Amateur Football Club and a proud former reserves-grade captain.
