Experience
Bao Nguyen is a Principal Lawyer with extensive experience across Migration Law, Commercial Litigation, Property & Commercial Law, Employment Law and cross-border business matters.
Holding qualifications in Law, Banking and Finance, together with a Graduate Diploma in Migration Law, Bao provides strategic and commercially focused advice to individuals, families, business owners, investors and organisations navigating complex legal and commercial challenges.
As Head of the Aitken Partners Asia Team, Bao works closely with clients throughout Australia and Asia, assisting with business, investment, migration and commercial matters. He is known for delivering practical solutions, strong advocacy and commercially focused outcomes tailored to his clients' objectives.
Bao regularly advises on complex disputes involving property, commercial and contractual issues, including caveat and mortgage disputes, development and construction disputes, leasing disputes, partnership and joint venture conflicts, debt recovery matters and shareholder disagreements. He represents clients in tribunals and courts and is recognised for his strategic approach to dispute resolution.
In addition to his litigation and commercial practice, Bao is an experienced Migration Lawyer who assists individuals, families, employers and investors with visa applications, sponsorship matters, review proceedings, visa refusals and visa cancellation issues.
Bao is actively involved in the legal and broader community. He serves as President of the Victorian Branch of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association (AALA) and volunteers his expertise with organisations including WestJustice and the Vietnamese Museum Australia.
Fluent in Vietnamese, Bao is passionate about supporting the Vietnamese community and helping clients navigate legal matters with confidence.
