Narre Warren North Road Upgrade Compulsory Acquisition Update

Compulsory Acquisition: 18 November 2020

Both the Victorian and Federal Governments have committed funding to upgrade Narre Warren North Road between Fox Road and Belgrave-Hallam Road, and the compulsory acquisition process is expected to commence soon.

The Project will add an extra lane in each direction of Narre Warren North Road, upgrade the Heatherton Road and Ernst Wanke Road intersections and investigate new safety upgrades for the Memorial Drive and Crawley Road intersections.

We understand that Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) are currently completing investigations to locate underground services along Narre Warren North Road to assist with the alignment for the Project.

Construction of the Project is expected to commence in late 2021 with completion of the Project expected in early 2023.

About Our Compulsory Acquisition Team

Aitken Partners compulsory acquisition lawyers have more than two decades of combined experience in representing landowners, tenants and business owners in compulsory acquisition claims in most (if not all) of Victoria's major infrastructure projects.

If you are impacted by the Narre Warren North Road Upgrade Project, it is imperative you engage lawyers experienced in compulsory acquisition matters to assist you in obtaining appropriate compensation. The compulsory acquisition process is covered by a unique legislative regime which does not follow standard property and conveyancing law practices.

If you are affected (or you may be affected) by the Narre Warren North Road Upgrade Project, please contact Natalie O'Flynn on 03 8600 6046 to arrange a time to speak with one of our compulsory acquisition lawyers regarding the Narre Warren North Road Upgrade Project and your potential rights to compensation if your land is ultimately compulsorily acquired for the Project.
